                                                              Finding Acceptance

Still today, homophobia is a big issue around the world. Many young teens and even older people get discriminated. Homophobia is the ignorance about sexual orientation and gender  issues. Homophobia not only affects an individual mentally but also affects them in a way that they tend to believe that they’re not normal. Some also tend to hurt themselves. In many cases suicide in LGBT people is higher than heterosexual people. I believe they want to escape from society. Others get into drugs and alcohol. In today’s society there are many young teens coming out compared to only a few years ago. But, on the other side LGBT people are still having a hard time to come out because it’s hard to find acceptance from others. I believe back then when an individual would come out, they would get assaulted, and possibly killed. There was more physical violence. LGBT people suffer the violence of human rights. For example, they get attacked, raped, and killed. In several countries people could get arrested if they are in same sex relationships. Many states fail to protect the LGBT community such as their workplace or their healthcare. All people regardless of race, gender, or color have the right to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.

I’ve seen this tattoo before on a woman. This tattoo is named “The tree of life” it symbolizes eternity, wisdom, strength, and protection. The branches represents immortality since a tree grows old and it becomes immortal. The leaves is part of nature obviously but it symbolizes life of learning and harmony. What caught my eye was the fact that the tree is placed inside a circle which could mean the world of course. This tattoo happens to be placed on the back, the only color is used is black ink. The color black makes it look more interesting. The tree is surrounded by a circle with a couple of roots at the bottom.
People get this type of tattoo to represent something special. But most of the times they do it to represent family or a connection to their ancestors . Every single root is symbol for a loved one. On the other hand it could also mean a fresh start in life. This tattoo is beautiful but I wouldn’t get this type of tattoo or I don’t think I’m ever getting one. I totally understand a person getting a tattoo to represent a lost one or something important in their life but I just rather not.
Many of us get tattoos in our bodies to indicate something personal or important in our lives. Small tattoos are nice to have, but in my opinion some people get too many tattoos that they don’t look nice at all and happen to look very ugly especially on women. I totally respect the fact that every tattoo has meaning to it but not to that extent where mostly your whole body is full of them. In our society many people believe that expressing yourself on tattoos is cool but there’s other ways you can express anything in life instead of damaging your own skin.

About me

The name of my blog name is KarlaLizzle.  If you want to know this name comes from, the Karla comes from my family, and the Lizzle comes from my heart. In this blog, I have chosen my best writing from Mr. Lewenstein’s English 61 class. I love exercising when I'm really stressed about something. Jogging is what I love doing the most, while I jog I like to feel the breeze around me as I run. I enjoy art as you can see the background of my blog. I was born in Mexicali where most of us like to go and enjoy to eat tacos. But I grew up living in the Coachella valley where the festivals happen.

In Lewenstein’s English 61 class we were to do a sixties research essay. I decided to do it on Marilyn Monroe’s death. Since her death was a mystery and still is today. There’s conspiracy theories but what they say mostly is about that she overdose.

Spiderman Narrative

In class we were to make a comic strip about Spider man and the vulture. The Vulture was going to take over the city and Spider man had to save the world.

Compare and contrast

We were to compare a sixties from today. and i decided to do it on Marilyn and Lindsay. Marilyn sad ending to her life makes a lot of us look closer at Lindsay Lohan.

Two-truths-and-one-lie
We were to to do three paragraphs one had to be a lie and two were to be truth.

Compare and contrast

Marilyn sad ending to her life makes a lot of us look closer at Lindsay Lohan. Although Marilyn Monroe and Lindsay Lohan lived their life’s differently, they have quite similarities. Lindsay was born in New York and Marilyn Monroe was born in Los Angeles. She was symbolized as a sex symbol for men in that era. She was a model and an actress so is Lindsay Lohan. Unlike Lindsay Lohan, Marilyn also did commercials she was on the top. Both of these women did some type of drugs. Marilyn suffered from depression and overdosed with pills that she was prescribed with. On the other hand, Lindsay had numerous shoplifting, drugs and alcohol. Another similarity is that both started as a modeling career, just that Lindsay started when she was only three years old. Marilyn’s father was never known, plus she didn’t even have family. She worked hard by herself to become someone. She was willing to please others, While Lindsay had both of her parents in support. They both had a waisted career,Marilyn died in 1962 and Lindsay got arrested twice.

Spiderman Narrative

In a big calm city, The Vulture has a master plan to take over the city. When Spider-Man and The Vulture had fought The Vulture did what he had to do to destroy the city a and to kill Spider-Man. As soon as Spider-Man tried to throw a fist The Vulture somehow trapped Spider-Man into a water tank. In hours, Spider-Man tries to get out from the water tank although he tried it multiple times. While Spider-Man being stuck in there he is thinking if he doesn't get out he will eventually die. Sadly, the walls were too slippery and wet so he couldn't climb. So he needed to come up with an idea before it's too late. Finally he comes up with an idea on how to escape, he swam all the way to the bottom where he found an exit. He then gets out and protects the city.

Two Truths and One Lie

I really enjoy going out for a run most of the time I go like three times a week its such stress reliever for me and its also one of my favorite hobbies.Especially when I'm really stressed about something that's affecting me I immediately go out for a jog because if I don't I'll go crazy. Right after I come back from my jog I always grab a little snack, something I'm also really into that I forgot to mention is nutrition. Once I'm done with that I go to my room and start my workout. I get to do this in the morning and sometimes at night. Whenever I do this at night I sleep very comfortable fresh as fuck.

I'm in love with Mexican food. It has that spicy flavor that no other type of food has in the world. The smell makes me feel some type of way. Like the smell of pozole or enchiladas. Family parties are the best when they give Mexican food like tacos, the variety of different meats is my favorite.
I've been driving since I was in seventh grade. I taught myself how to drive within one week. Since then I drive myself everywhere and I got my license at age 15. I've driven to San Diego by myself without company by my side. I can really careless where I go if its with someone or not. I even passed my written exam the first try and my drivers test. I knew exactly what I was doing when I took the exam.
